NRO-based President to play havoc: Imran

ISLAMABAD - Pakistan Tahrik-e-Insaaf Friday staged a protest rally here against the presidential election of Asif Ali Zardari in which hundreds of party workers and civil society representatives participated. The protestors gathered in front of Press Club and marched towards Parliament house where PTI Chief addressed the procession. Protesters were led by Imran Khan, while Owais Khalid, Dr Saeed Akhtar, and Rohwdad Khan were also present on the occasion. Speaking on the occasion, Imran Khan Said National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO) based President would play havoc in the country. He further said that deposed Chief Justice of Pakistan should be reinstated before presidential election but Zardari was reluctant to restore him. He alleged that Zardari couldn't bear Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry because the latter was a man of principles. Imran raised questions about PPP Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari's mental health. He mentioned that according to Gallop Survey, incumbent government had run election campaign on three points; restoration of judges, end of dictatorship and negotiation with militants of Federally Administrated Tribal Areas (FATA) but ruling coalition was not paying attention towards its pledges. He said, "PTI is not responsible for the corruption cases against Zardari, rather the PPP and the PML-N were responsible for these." Imran blamed that Zardari violated the teachings of Holy Quran as he broke all promise with PML-N regarding the restoration of all deposed judges. He further said that restoration of Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudary would be the restoration of democracy adding that without independence of judiciary there could be no real democracy in Pakistan. He further said that his struggle would continue until the restoration of all sacked judges. He strongly condemned the massive killing in FATA and termed it as an attack on Pakistan's sovereignty. PTI activists were holding flags and placards inscribed different slogans against Asif Ali Zardari and were chanting slogans against incumbent government and Zardari like "NRO President Na Manzoor".
