Ultimatum given to militants

DERA ISMAIL KHAN  - Two fresh companies of Pakistan army arrived in Jandola area of South Waziristan on night between Saturday and Sunday from Dera Ismail Khan. Giving ultimatum to terrorists and extremist to surrender before security forces, the fresh troops of army made it clear strict action would be taken against them. It is merit mentioning here that no fight has still been witnessed between extremists and security forces for last 20 hours in Jandola and its suburb areas, however, arrangements have been finalised to meet the situation. Moreover, some unknown miscreants reportedly burnt an empty oil tanker at Landikotal bazaar by-pass, which was coming from Afghanistan. The oil tanker bearing registration No 2811-Pes-J, was on its way from Afghanistan to Peshawar, and when it reached near Landikotal bazaar by-pass, some unknown people put petrol on it and set it on fire. The oil tanker was completely destroyed. No one has claimed the responsibility of the incident so far. Political Administration arrested the driver of oil tanker. It merits mentioning here that 'Sirat-e-Mustaqeem' operation against the militants had reached its final phase in Bara Tehsil in which dozens of militants had been arrested and their many centres had been destroyed.
