Karachi Football League soon, says Barrister Murtaza

LAHORE   -  Administrator Karachi Barrister Murtaza Wahab has said that Karachi Football League will soon be conducted where all the seven districts and different departments will take part. 

“Our football loving youth has potential and if they are provided ample opportunities and big platforms like this Karachi Football League, they are more than capable of exhibiting their prowess and hold aloft Pakistan flag at international level,” Barrister Murtaza said this while inaugurating an exhibition football match. Other notable ones present on the occasion were ambassadors of different countries, Advisor to CM Sindh Asif Khan, Commissioner Karachi Iqbal Memon, International player from UK Zavier Austin, Mirza Ishtiaq Baig, KBBA President Ghulam Muhammad Khan, Arshad Sodhar, Khalid Jamil Shamsi, Sher Khan, Usman Ghani and others. 

In the friendly football match, Commissioner White Team defeated Commissioner Karachi Green by 1-0. The only goal of the match was converted by Ibrahim Baloch in the 51st minute of the match. 

Speaking on the occasion, Commissioner Karachi Iqbal Memon thanked Swindon Town Football Club Vice Chairman Zavier Austin for visiting Pakistan and imparting international-standard training to Pakistani footballers and finding promising talent here, who is capable of winning international laurels for Pakistan. 

The Commissioner hoped that this partnership between Swindon Town Football Club and District Football Association Karachi will continue and hugely benefit Pakistani footballers especially the kids of Lyari and Karachi, who will get ample opportunities to play football in United Kingdon and also get chances to represent Pakistan at different international forum and win glories for it globally.
