Pakistan’s Hussnain, Haider win doubles gold medal in ATF Bahrain Tennis C’ship

LAHORE - Pakistani duo of Hussnain Ali Rizwan and Haider Ali Rizwan clinched the doubles gold medal in the Asian Tennis Federation (ATF) Bahrain Tennis Championship 2021 after beating Pak-Egypt pair of Hamza Ali Rizwan and Ahmed Ibrahim in the doubles final. 
Both Hussnain and Haider (of LGS Paragon) were in great form and displayed quality tennis skills and techniques to overpower their opponents in the final. Hussnain and Haider won the first set comfortably with a score of 6-2 while they faced almost no resistance in the second set and took it 6-1, thus claimed the gold medals in the doubles event. 
In the singles semifinals, Hussnain Ali Rizwan lost to Rushkesh Sonawane 3-6, 2-6. Hussnain tried hard to give tough time to his superior opponent, who had vast international experience than Hussnain, yet the Pakistani lad failed to match the power, agility and experience of his opponent, thus lost the semifinal. The time is high when such shining star of Pakistani tennis must be sent abroad for training purpose, where they further sharpen their skills and play a good number of ATF events to further improve their international rankings. 
Meanwhile, Haider Ali Rizwan of Pakistan beat Mohammad Alawadhi of Kuwait 4-2, 4-1 to play 5/6 positions match in the singles. Pakistan’s Hamza Ali Rizwan beat Hashim Altoobli (Bahrain) 4-1, 4-0 to play 5/6 position match in the singles. Haider Ali Rizwan beat Hamza Ali Rizwan 4-2, 4-1 for the fifth place.
