Widow raped at Sui; case against 9 PPL, DSG officials

QUETTA - A woman was allegedly gang-raped in the Pakistan Petroleum Limited Colony at Sui and a case was registered against nine officials of the PPL and Defence Security Guards (DSG) in this connection, said police sources from Dera Bugti. Sources said that the woman identified as Firdous, who is residing in the PPL Colony along with her children and widow of former PPL employee Muhammad Ayub who passed away recently, came to the police station and made a complaint that six officials entered into her quarter and subjected her to gang-rape. She requested for registration of a case against the accused. Besides marks of bruises on her face, police said, clothes of the woman were also torn, adding that the case was registered against senior PPL Admin Officer Jamshed Javed, Security Officer Sagheer, Deputy Security Officer Farooq Pasha and six personnel of the DSG. However, no arrest was made so far in this connection. It may be recalled that Dr Shazia had also been raped in the same area in 2005.
