Smoke-emitting rickshaws irk Sadiqabad citizens

The citizens of Sadiqabad have demanded a ban on the two-stroke rickshaws which emit smoke and are causing rapid spread of various diseases in the city.  They were of the view that the rickshaws are run on petrol mixed with oil which cause spread of Asthma, Tuberculosis, cancer and other diseases. However, they regretted, the federal and the provincial governments were still unable to impose a ban on the smoke-emitting rickshaws across the country. The citizens were included M Arshad, Mujahid, Khalid, Shabbir, Farhan, Ismaeel, Shahid, Hassan and Umar.
They added that the federal and provincial governments should intervene in the matter and ban two-stroke rickshaws and allow only four-stroke rickshaws. They also said that adolescent persons were seen recklessly driving vehicles thereby causing accidents. Therefore, the administration should stop such persons from driving, they said and demanded a strict action against those who rent out rickshaws to immature persons or hire them for this purpose.
