LAHORE - Karachi women team defeated Faisalabad by six wickets in the Under-19 cricket tournament here at the Country Club Muridke on Sunday.
Karachi needed 81 runs for victory and they achieved the target in the 16th overs after losing four wickets. Sana Urooj (22) and Noureen Afsar (21) played vital role in their team’s victory. Ayesha Sadaf and Marium Akbar grabbed one wicket each for Faisalabad.
Ealier, batting first, Faisalabad could manage 80 runs for five wickets. Ayesha Sadaf made 34, Farwa Batool scored 17. Saima Naz and Azra Yamna got one wicket each for Karachi.
Sana Urooj and Noureen Afsar declared joint players of the match. Humaira Farah & Shakeel Rafiq supervised the match while Sohail Khan was match referee and Sajjadul Hassan acted as official scorer.
