CERN DG visiting Pakistan today

ISLAMABAD - Director General European Organisation for Nuclear Research (CERN) Dr Rolf Heuer will arrive in Pakistan on a two-day official visit on Friday (today).
During his visit, he will meet Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif before the signing ceremony of final accession document leading to associate membership of CERN for Pakistan at the Prime Minister House.
According to a statement released by the PAEC, Dr Heuer will discuss modalities of Pak-CERN collaboration with the Chairman Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission Dr Ansar Parvez.
Dr Heuer will also meet the former chairmen PAEC Dr Ishfaq Ahmad and Engr Pervez Butt in addition to meeting the pioneers of the Pak-CERN collaboration and the Pak-CERN collaboration stakeholders.
Dr Heuer will be meeting the young physicists, researchers and scientists, and deliver a lecture at National Centre for Physics.
