PTI will hold protest demo in Karachi on Monday: Imran

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan said that his party will protest against the murder of Zehra Shahid Hussain in Karachi on Monday.
In a video message Sunday Imran Khan said Altaf Hussain was responsible for the killing of Zehra Shahid Hussain.
He said PTI would hold a protest demonstration in Karachi on Monday to condemn the killing of Zehra Hussain. He called upon other political parties to participate in the protest demonstration.
Imran said he would visit Karachi as soon as he gets well. He urged upon Chief Justice of Pakistan to take notice of the situation in Karachi where a party was trying to control people through harassment.
Imran also urged upon the Chief Election Commissioner to accept the demand of recounting in certain constituencies in order to restore the credibility of ECP.
Zehra Hussain, 59, vice president of the party's women's wing in Sindh province, was targeted by three men on a motorcycle outside her home in an upmarket part of Karachi.
Her death was the latest following a bloody election campaign marked by more than 150 killings.
Imran was quick to pin the blame on the Muttahida Qaumi Movement.
"I hold Altaf Hussain directly responsible for the murder as he had openly threatened PTI workers and leaders through public broadcasts," Imran said on his Twitter feed, describing the killing as "a targeted act of terror".
"I also hold the British Govt responsible as I had warned them about British citizen Altaf Hussain after his open threats to kill PTI workers," he said, adding that he was "shocked and deeply saddened by the brutal killing".
Imran Khan said democracy cannot survive in the country without free‚ fair and transparent elections. He said unprecedented rigging has been carried out in the May 11‚ elections.
Imran Khan alleged that people were kept away from polling stations in Karachi on May 11‚ by igniting fear and terror in the city. He urged the PTI workers to remain steadfast against all atrocities and excesses.
The PTI Chairman urged the Chief Justice of Pakistan to take suo-moto notice of the gruesome murder of Zehra Shahid Hussain.
