A man along with his two brothers has killed his 18-year-old daughter and her suspected boyfriend for honour in village Kot Olakh.
According to an FIR, Muhammad Riaz and his two brother namely Muhammad Fayyaz and Qamar Abbas kidnapped a young namely Muhammad Yousuf, 19, a welder, from his workshop and took him to their house. They tortured severely and later gunned him down. They killed his daughter namely Mehwash, 18, on suspicion of illicit relation.
Alipur Chattha Police have registered a case against five persons including one women, mother of Mehwash, Riaz, his two brothers Fayyaz and Aamar Abbas, his wife Safia and his son Ali Hamza. Police arrested Safia and her son Ali Hamza while rest of the accused are at large. Police took dead bodies to THQ Hospital for post mortem.
At least three people including a woman died in separate incidents took place in different parts of Jhang on Monday. Qadirpur police have recovered a dead body of 30 year old unknown woman from Mauza Wajidabad near Mandi Shah Jewna.
After strangulation, the dead body was thrown in the fields. Police have registered a case and is investigating to trace culprits. In a road mishap which occurred on Jhang-Sargodha Road, a motorcyclist was killed. Muhammad Anwar and his friend Javaid were going on bike. As they reached near Bypass, a high-speed bus (LED 5439) hit them. Resultantly, they sustained serious injuries. Anwar succumbed to his injuries on the way to hospital while Javaid was admitted to DHJQ Hospital Jhang.
Another road mishap took place on Jhang-Sargodha Road. A truck crushed to death a motorcyclist. Muhammad Shah and Ghulam Shabir were going to Jhang on their bike. When they reached near Qutab Awan, a truck (SGD 7694) coming from the opposite side hit them. As a result they both received critical wounds. Muhammad Shah breathed his last on the way to hospital while Ghulam Shabir was admitted to DHQ Hospital in serious condition.
