President announces to set up a cell in Islamabad for addressing FATA problems

President Mamnoon Hussain on Saturday announced to set up a cell at Aiwan-e-Sadr Islamabad to coordinate with government departments to resolve problems of Tribal Areas.
He stated while addressing a grand tribal jirga in Peshawar. The President lauded the sacrifices rendered by security forces and the people of Fata in the war against terrorism.
He issued directives to the Finance Division to release one hundred million rupees each for Shuhda package and for rehabilitation of Fata IDPs at the earliest.
He assured the tribal elders that allocated budget for development of FATA will not be curtailed.
Responding to demands presented by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Engineer Shaukatullah‚ the President announced giving natural gas facility to the Fata and all Frontier Regions and directed the SNGPL authorities to evolve a comprehensive strategy in this regard.
The President also directed the OPF authorities to establish quality educational institutions in all the tribal agencies and said that in first phase these institutions will be established in Bajaur‚ Kurram and Khyber agencies.
He also ordered for launching of housing project for the people of Fata through
OPF and release of required funds for the establishment of already approved grid stations at Khaar and Jamrud.
Similarly‚ the President announced a main general hospital in Fata‚ provision of skilled training to 300 youths‚ awarding scholarship to 10 students in four federal universities.
Earlier‚ in his welcome address‚ Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Engineer Shaukatullah said that 18.5 billion rupees have been allocated in current Fata ADP for socio-economic uplift of the area.
 He said that return of IPDs belonging to South‚ North Waziristan‚ Kurram and Bara Khyber Agency to their native areas is in progress.
He said that the government has taken for setting of university‚ medical college and IT university in Fata besides a cadet college in each tribal agency.
