Army thrash LSE in Women’s soccer

ISLAMABAD - Ace strikers Malika Noor and Roshnan Ali helped Army thrashed LSE 5-0 with two goals each in the 8th National Women Football Championship here at outer stadium of Pakistan Sports Complex on Sunday.
Malika opened the scoring in the 13th minute on 25-yard free-kick and then Roshnan added another goal in the 18th minute to make it 2-0. Roshnan completed her brace in the 31st minute as Army ended the first half with 3-0 advantage.
Sama Gul scored the fourth goal for her team in the 47th minute before Malika completed the score line in the 52nd minute as she scored her second and team's fifth goal to ensure victory for Army.
In the second match played at Jinnah Stadium, AJK and Sindh played a 0-0 draw as both teams to settle for a point each.
In the third match of the day played Bushra Jamali saved Young Rising blushes as she scored a timely brace to give her side a hard fought 2-1 victory.
It was expected before the start of the match that Young Rising would win the match but Islamabad had other ideas. Bushra provided her team the breakthrough in the 18th minute, the first half ended with Young Rising leading 1-0.
Islamabad forwards pilled up the pressure in the second half on Young Rising goal and their efforts paid off in the 54th minute when Nadia Bhatti scored to level terms.
The match was heading towards a draw but Bushra once again showed why she is the most feared striker in the championship as she scored in the 69th minute to give her side all three points.
In the last match of the day, Higher Education Commision (HEC) beat Khyber PakhtoonKhwa (KPK) 2-0. Maria opened the scoring in the 10th minute while Aliya scored the second goal in the 29th minute to give HEC 2-0 victory.
