8 suspects held in raids

KARACHI – Rangers claimed to have arrested eight suspects including an alleged target killer during separate targeted raids in Frontier Colony area.
According to rangers spokesperson, in the first targeted raid rangers managed to arrest an alleged target killer namely Bacha Khan from Frontier Colony Mor.
He said that accused person was sitting at a tea stall. When the rangers reached the spot, he opened fire at the rangers. In an exchange of fire, he sustained bullet injuries and was arrested in injured condition. They also recovered weapons from his possession. 
Similarly, rangers continued targeted raids in the nearby building and managed to arrest seven criminals and recovered five weapons of different calibers, mixed ammunitions and five vehicles without number plates from their possession. None of the suspects was handed over to the police as the suspects were being further interrogated at an undisclosed location.
Special Investigation Unit (SIU) claimed to have arrested an alleged bank robber namely Shahid alias Chacho after a brief encounter at Maripur Road.
According to SIU officials, the suspect’s two companions namely Shaukat Ali and Asif were also arrested during the raid conducted on a tip-off and weapons were also recovered from their possession. During initial interrogation, the suspects were involved in bank robberies in a city. They said that the suspects recently robbed a bank in Malir area, adding that further investigation with them was underway.
Separately, Memon Goth police claimed to have arrested a suspect namely Zulfiqar aka Bhutto and recovered weapons from his possession.
Police said that the accused was wanted to the police in several cases including murder and attempt-to-murder. Further investigation was underway.
