Asif Zardari, Bilawal pray at Data Darbar

LAHORE - President Asif Ali Zardari and PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Saturday visited Darbar Hazrat Usman bin Ali Hajveri (Data Sahib), laid a floral wreath on the grave and prayed for the nation and the country’s stability.
The Darbar administration also presented a turban to Bilawal on the occasion. Punjab Governor Makhdoom Syed Ahmad Mahmood, Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Qamar Zaman Kaira, PPP Central Punjab President Manzoor Ahmad Wattoo and other party leaders also accompanied the president.
A very tight security was maintained in and around Data Darbar during the visit. The helicopter carrying President Zardari and Bilawal Bhutto landed at Minar-e-Pakistan from where they drove to Darbar.
Meanwhile, PPP Chairman Bilalwal Bhutto attended Quran-khwani and participated in dua at Bilawal House, the new residence of President Zardari and the PPP office at Behria Town. Bilawal Bhutto Zardari also met PPP Central Punjab President Manzoor Wattoo and other leaders as well as office bearers of the party the other day and shared views with them on the party matters, political situation and election strategy in the Punjab.
Sources say the PPP chairman was briefed on the polls preparations and candidates for the next elections. The sources add Bilawal asked the party activists to step up preparations for the elections. He said the Punjab was the political citadel of the PPP and it would form government in the province after the elections.
Meanwhile, President Zardari called Law Minister Farooq Naek for consultation in Lahore on Sunday for legal input on the upcoming hearing of Dr Tahirul Qadri’s petition in the Supreme Court for reconstitution of the Election Commission of Pakistan, and the Balochistan situation.
