Intexpo moot to boost Pak-India trade





KARACHI - Karachi Chamber of Commerce & Industry and India Synthetic & Rayon Textiles Export Promotion Council’s (SRTEPC) two-day Intexpo Pakistan exhibition 2012 successfully concluded. Intexpo was organised by SRTEPC India with collaboration of KCCI in Karachi.
Karachi Chamber of Commerce & Industry’s President Muhammad Haroon Agar termed the Intexpo India single country exhibition a meaningful and productive development to bring closer Indo-Pak business communities for further strengthen business and friendly relations, particularly in textile sector. He appreciated the confidence reposed by Vinod Kumar Ladia, Chairman, Synthetic & Rayon Textiles Export Promotion Council and Indian exhibitors in KCCI and assured that Karachi Chamber will extend similar cooperation in future endeavours.
Synthetic & Rayon Textiles Export Promotion Council’s (SRTEPC) Chairman Vinod Kumar Ladia conveyed profound compliments to President KCCI Haroon Agar and stated that organising of Intexpo Pakistan exhibition will bring constructive business results for business relationship between Indian exhibitors and Pakistani counterparts in near future.
He expressed his satisfaction over law and order situation in Karachi and Pakistan and stated that ground situation is not like what some local and foreign media portrays about unrest in Karachi and Pakistan. He said that Indian business delegation felt safe during their stay in Karachi and hoped that SRTEPC with cooperation of KCCI will facilitate their members to strengthen friendly relationship between business communities of two countries. 
KCCI’s Senior Vice President Shamim Firpo, Vice President Nasir Mehmood at the closing ceremony of Intexpo Pakistan Exhibition expressed solidarity with Indian exhibitors and hoped that business relationship between KCCI members and Indian delegations will grow further. Later, Vice President KCCI Nasir Mehmood bid farewell to the Chairman of SRTEPC and Indian delegation then departed to Lahore.
In Intexpo Pakistan 2012, leading 40 textiles companies and brands displayed their products and 60 members Indian delegation was headed by Chairman SRTEPC Vinod Kumar Ladia participated in the mega event.

KCCI members/ business community of Karachi showed their keen interest and visited exhibition for business-to-business B2B meetings. More than 1200 trade visitors representing over 1200 companies visited Intexpo exhibition in two days.
