GHALANAI: An official of the Frontier Corps (FC) has been injured in an attack in Mohmand Agency today.

According to the local administration, an FC vehicle was targeted by unidentified people with an IED explosion in Aingar area of the tribal agency.

After the attack security forces have reached the site and launched a search operation.

The injured FC personal was shifted to the hospital where he is under treatment.

Mohmand agency shares the borders with Afghan provinces of Nangarhar and Kunar and often experienced terrorist attacks from across the border.

On December 22, Three Frontiers Corps personnel were also martyred when suspected terrorists opened fire on their team from across the Pak-Afghan border in Mohmand Agency.

The troops were targeted when they busy in the construction of a new border post at Shunkrai area of Mohmand tribal region near the border with Afghanistan.
