Army commanders meet to discuss country's security situation

RAWALPINDI- Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Shareef chaired a conference of all the key military commanders in Rawalpindi today, to review prevalent internal and external security situation of the country.

According to an Inter-services Public Relations (ISPR) release, the Army chief chaired the 170th Corps Commanders’ Conference at General Headquarters.

The forum met on a day when the government has opted to form a new committee to start direct talks with the Taliban. ISPR said that the conference was part of routine monthly meetings.
