Spy storywriter dies of heart attack

LAHORE - Famous writer of spy series Ishtiaq Ahmad passed away yesterday. He died of heart attack at the Karachi airport when he reached there to participate in 5th international book fair. He was 74.
Ishtiaq Ahmad was born in Jhang and wrote hundreds of novels on spying. His 800th novel was yet to come. He served the literature for 50 years.
Scholars and writers of the country as well as the political leaders expressed sorrow over his sudden demise. His body will be taken back today from Karachi to Jhang and funeral prayer will be offered in his district city.
