Children of Sindh police martyrs to get free, discounted education

KARACHI- Sindh police on Wednesday entered into two separate agreements with renowned educational institutions of the megalopolis for the welfare of children of martyrs. The welfare branch of Sindh police signed two memorandums of understanding (MoU) with Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto Institute of Science and Technology (SZABIST) and Aisha Bawany Academy, informed the spokesperson to Sindh police. According to MoU signed with the Aisha Bawany Academy, the children of martyrs of Sindh police would be provided free of charge education till matriculation with effect from November 26th, 2020. The Academy would not charge admission and tuition fee and would provide books and uniforms to the children of martyrs of Sindh police. The Aisha Bawany Academy under the MoU would provide 5 scholarships in its matriculation system in each academic year. According to MoU with SZABIST, the children of martyrs would be able to attain quality education at Karachi and Larkana branches of the varsity at discounted fees with effect from December 19th, 2020. Under the agreement, the ratio of Shaheed police personnel children would not be more than 2 students per programme at any SZABIST Institution. On securing admission in the SZABIST, the children of Shaheed police personnel would be exempted from admission fee and tuition fee on of Institution. Only children of martyrs referred by AIGP Welfare Sindh with all the necessary documents would be able to secure admissions. DIGP Headquarters Sindh, DIGP Finance, AIGP Welfare Sindh, representatives of SZABIST, Director (HR) Aisha Bawany Academy and Administrator signed the MoU.
