| Urges politicians to shun differences for national development

ISLAMABAD - Minister for Interior Ahsan Iqbal Saturday said enemies of Pakistan were sponsoring terrorism activities to create unrest and sabotage China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project.

Talking to a private news channel, he said, since banned outfits were not organised in the country, foreign-funded targeted activities against Hazara community in Quetta was a conspiracy to create chaos. 

"Such activities are planned across the border," he said.

He said Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) government took security of the country as a challenge in 2013 and achieved success by improving overall situation of law and order throughout Pakistan.

Law enforcement agencies were fighting on front-line and rendering sacrifices of lives in line of duties in Balochistan, he said adding, that terror-related incidents had declined due to efforts jointly made by the federal and provincial governments.

The minister said security had been beefed up in the province, besides enhancing capacity of police there.

"Work on fencing our border with Afghanistan is being completed on fast track as it is a permanent solution to stop illegal movement on the border," he added.

Meanwhile, addressing the participants at the inaugural ceremony of Narowal-Lahore Motorway Link Road, held at Narowal here Saturday, the interior minister asked all segments of the country to get united and shun their political differences for national development, prosperity and integrity to make it a stronger Pakistan by ending poverty.

He said the PML-N government had successfully implemented its electoral manifesto by delivering in every segment of life, saying the incumbent government firmly believed in doing politics of peace and serving masses.

Ahsan said Pakistan in 2018 was better as compared with the year 2013.

He said 2018 general elections would be a referendum against the politics of hate being promoted by the opponents.

He said masses would again bring the PML-N to power through their votes, due to its performance.

The interior minister said that the national economical parameters were strengthening day-by-day and Pakistan had been included in the list of five fastest growing economies of the world.

Ahsan urged all politicians and institutions to refrain from making Pakistan an "experimental laboratory", asking them to come forward, join hands and play their role in strengthening Pakistan further.

He asked political opponents of the PML-N not to indulge themselves in the games which they didn't know how to play.

He termed the continuity of all economical and political policies vital for national peace, democracy and development.

He said Pakistan would also be included in the list of top 25 economies of the world till 2025.
